Top 10 Hiking with Shawn Shorts by Views
By Hiking with Shawn Shorts, I don’t mean short pants. I mean short videos called “Shorts,” a feature released on YouTube a few years ago to compete with Instagram and TikTok.
I started using YouTube Shorts to fill in the days I didn’t upload a long video. I upload longer Hiking with Shawn Videos every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I upload Hiking with Shawn Shorts on all the other days.
My YouTube Channel has a video every day thanks to the Shorts feature. If you haven’t subscribed to my channel yet, please consider doing it today!
The following is a list the 10 most viewed Hiking with Shawn Shorts on YouTube. I hope you enjoy it!
Hiking with Shawn Shorts
The Top 10 Hiking with Shawn Shorts on YouTube by Most Views.
1 – Itty Bitty Snake
This video features one of my many snake encounters. The snake featured in this video is so small that it can barely hurt a fly. Can you guess what snake it is? Comment below with your guess.
2 – Timber Rattlesnake
In this video, I got really good footage of a Timber Rattlesnake. In 2022, I saw quite a few rattlesnakes in southern Illinois. But I don’t get to see that many every year.
3 – Tower Rock
In this video, I feature Tower Rock when it was low enough to get close to but before it got so busy that trains collided with parked cars. Did you get a chance to visit?
4 – LBL Silo
I feature “The Silo” at Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area in Kentucky in this Hiking with Shawn Shorts video. This used to be a scenic overlook at one time.
5 – Camo Cottonmouth
The majority of these most vied Hiking with Shawn Shorts are but, of course, at Snake Road. In this video, I feature a cottonmouth crossing the road covered in duckweed.
6 – Rattlesnake Rattling
There is a funny story to this encounter. Funny for me, maybe not so funny for my guided hiking client. But it was a great experience to show a rattlesnake rattling.
7 – Axing Down a Tree
I took apprentice crosscut sawyer certification with the US Forest Service. One person was getting recertified with their axe. I got the tree falling in the video.
8 – Tower Rock
This was my other Tower Rock Hiking with Shawn Shorts video. It got more views than the other one because it was fairly popular then. CNN did a story on it.
9 – Spring House
This is a reconstructed Spring House at the Menard Home in Chester, Illinois. I’m shocked that it got as many views as it did. The rest of the home was undergoing construction.
10 – Most Viewed Hiking with Shawn Shorts Video: Snake Swimming at Me
I must admit I used some “click bait” in this experiment. But in reality, the snake (a cottonmouth) was swimming towards me and did exit the swamp in my direction.
And that sums up the most viewed Hiking with Shawn Shorts on YouTube. If you enjoyed this article and my short videos, please subscribe to my YouTube Channel today. It shows me that you support my efforts. I really appreciate it and you.
