I Never Knew that Hiking with Shawn would had reached this point. On a cold December day in 2016, I started a YouTube Channel called Bike Hike Blog to feature all of my biking and hiking trips in case my close friends and family wanted to watch. I never figured the channel would grow to anything special. I really had no future predictions for the channel.

Then I found myself hiking more than biking, an interest I have grown so much to be so passionate and in love with. I changed the channel name to Hiking with Shawn and started focusing my main efforts of the channel on hiking, while occasionally (and I still do, too) throwing biking into the mix.

I didn’t expect Hiking with Shawn to become what it is now…

That’s why Hiking with Shawn wasn’t founded by me. I was founded by Hiking with Shawn, just a fact ma’am…

Hiking with Shawn started out as a way for me to show my close friends and family what I do when I hike. It was never expected to be what it is today. I never expected messages and emails from folks thanking me for uploading videos. I never expected to be told that I gave a new handicap trail to someone with a child that has limited mobility. I never expected older folks to tell me that my videos have made them happy to see trails of their childhood that they can no longer visit due to their age and health. I never expected to get a gift from a fan from another state. I never expected to get over 5-10 subscribers.

I want thank each and every one of you who follow Hiking with Shawn. You all have changed my life. You’ve made me feel very enjoyed and even loved. You all might be my fans but I am also a big fan of yours as well. You’ve change my life for the better. You’ve made me a healthier person. You’ve made me want to help make others into healthier people. You are my heroes. You all mean the world to me. You, my fans and followers are my best friends.

Hiking with Shawn wasn’t founded by Shawn Gossman, Shawn Gossman was founded by Hiking with Shawn and it couldn’t have happened without each and every one of you watching and making comments, subscribing and following each and every one of my videos.
