Hiking with Shawn Services
Hiking with Shawn provides guided hiking and cycling services, public speaking, and itinerary planning for those interested in hiring Hiking with Shawn. Please note that service fees must be paid in full before services start.
Guided Hiking:
- $60 per adult for up to 10 miles in one hiking area
- $30 per child (17 and under) for up to 10 miles in one hiking area
- An adult must accompany children
- Hiking groups are allowed of up to 8 people
- Hiking is day-hiking only
- Children must be respectful and abide by the guide’s rules (for their safety)
- Guiding can be done on trail in the Shawnee National Forest and State Parks in Southern Illinois.
- Off-trail hiking is not available
- You are responsible for your transportation to and from the trail
- You are responsible for your hiking gear and water
- You MUST sign a waiver
- You can cancel for a full refund 72 hours before your hike or earlier; after that, you’ll get half the cost.
- Hiking with Shawn is permitted, insured, and a trained first responder.
Guided Cycling
- $60 per adult for up to 20 miles in one cycling route
- $30 per child (17 and under) for up to 20 miles in one cycling route
- An adult must accompany children
- Cycling groups are allowed up to 6 people
- Cycling is for day riding only
- Children must be respectful and abide by the guide’s rules (for their safety)
- Guiding can be done on a designated bike trail in the Shawnee National Forest and State Parks in Southern Illinois.
- Off-trail riding is not available
- You are responsible for your transportation to and from the trail
- You are responsible for your bike, cycling gear, and water
- All riders must wear a helmet
- You MUST sign a waiver
- You can cancel for a full refund 72 hours before your bike ride or earlier; after that, you’ll get half the cost.
- Hiking with Shawn is permitted, insured, and a trained first responder.
Public Speaking
- Public speaking costs are $200 in person or $150 virtually
- Public speaking is only available in the Southern Illinois region
- You can cancel for a full refund 72 hours before the event or earlier; after that, you’ll get half the cost.

- $50 for basic itinerary planning services
- $100 for advanced itinerary planning services
